Get Ready to Cast Your Vote, Party People! We’ve put together a list of the best from your feedback over the years and now it’s your turn to select which epic themes we will celebrate! From wild costumes to epic throwbacks, you get to help decide the fan-favorite nights we’ll be rocking in 2026 as we celebrate 10 years of iconic theme nights!
Here’s How It Works:
- Booked guests will have the chance to vote on 4 different theme nights!
- Each week, you will receive a survey with 3 options for that theme night.
- Vote on your favorite!
- Incoming Seniors (meaning 2026 will be your FOURTH sailing on The 80s Cruise) will have the chance to vote on the Prom Night theme.
- Results will be shared after ALL theme nights have been voted on.
- The full schedule of when each theme night is taking place will be announced closer to the sailing.

We’re headed back in time to the greatest decade ever as we set the time circuits to the 1980s! We’re going to celebrate all things 80s; whether you “valley girl” out with crimped hair and jelly bracelets, rock a classic New Wave look, or keep it more relaxed with your favorite band T-shirt. The night will be full of music, dancing, karaoke, and surprises to get The Ultimate 80s Party started right.
New Year’s Eve 1980

Join us in celebrating a New Year’s Eve Bash for the ages! We’re going to rewind the clocks to 11 p.m. circa NYE 1979, then the countdown BEGINS! When the clock strikes midnight, say “Later, Dude” to 1979, and party hard into the 80s. Bands and DJs will rock multiple venues all over the ship. No matter where you are, we party as one. What to wear? You decide: Are you partying at the nightclub? Are you dancing at the promenade party? Or are you rocking out at a midnight concert?
The 80s Toga Party

There’s no better way to kick off the ultimate 80s party than with an epic night of revelry! Keep your goblets full and your dance moves divine for an infamous night of togas, tunes, and total debauchery as we celebrate like Gods on the first night of The 80s Cruise 2026.

Vote #2 – A “Chill Night” Theme!
Neon Beach Party
Party in your loudest and brightest florescent-colored beachwear as we get this party started in Nassau. When the sun goes down, the amphitheater heats up to an epic soundtrack that only The 80s Cruise can emit. The electricity continues back on the ship with more music and parties, complete with black lights to make you ‘pop’ all night.
The 80s Cruise Salute to MTV Spring Break
MTV’s first Spring Break party happened at Daytona Beach in 1986. Now, 40 years later, The 80s Cruise Salute to Spring Break starts in Nassau and continues back on the ship where the bands are hot, the drinks ice cold, and the sun is always shining. You know what to wear: Laid-back beachwear, Bermuda shorts, half shirts, high-cut one-piece swimsuits, cool shades, and, of course, anything that screams MTV!
Kick Back and Glow
Hot pink mesh shirts, flip-flops, and neon spandex are the perfect attire for this chill theme. You’ll feel like you’re walking into a fluorescent dream as you hit the party in Nassau or under the blacklights back on the ship; your outfits and accessories will glow to make you the center of attention. So, break out your brightest and boldest outfits, and Let’s “Glow” Crazy!

Vote #3 – A “Versus Night” Theme!
Hip Hop vs Rock
See description
Just like the battle in the “Walk This Way” video, you can choose ‘Team RUN DMC’ and sport tracksuits, big gold chains, and Kangol hats, or choose ‘Team Aerosmith’ wearing ripped jeans, flowing shirts, and wild hair. The clash is on, as we determine which 80s musical genre is the true champion!
Nerds and Jocks

Nerds and Jocks night is your chance to show off your true colors inspired by 80s classics like Revenge of the Nerds, The Breakfast Club, and Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Are you a Nerd? Wear your pocket protectors, bow ties, suspenders, and glasses. Do you rock with the Jocks? Go no sleeves and dust off the old jerseys and letterman jackets.
Punks and Preps Night

Whether you rock out with spiked hair and ripped jeans or don a pastel sweater and penny loafers, the night promises to be full of fun and laughs.
So, grab some friends, plan your outfits, and get ready for a night of adventure at the Punks and Preps Night!

It’s the theme night you’ve been just dying for! Tonight, we celebrate the classic and campy movies, killer characters, and haunting music of the darker side of the 80s. Dig up some inspiration by rewatching your favorite 80s horror flicks and spooktacular 80s music videos. Chucky, Freddy, Jason, Carrie, and that creepy chick from Poltergeist! With so many options, you know the costumes will be killer!
Salute to Sci-Fi Night

Get ready to blast off into a galaxy far, far away at Salute to Sci-Fi Night! This theme night celebrates the iconic science fiction movies and TV shows of the 80s. Dress up as your favorite sci-fi characters from Flash Gordon, Battlestar Galactica, Tron, and beyond. From Stormtroopers to Spaceballs, you’ll fit right in. So, grab your lightsaber or ray gun, and get ready to have a blast at the Salute to Sci-Fi Night!
Glamtastic 80s Rock

Big hair and loud guitar riffs ruled the 80s. Whether you were a fan or not, you couldn’t help but be entertained by all those GLAM rock bands of the era. Leather and lace, bandanas, and big hair, or spandex and skin, we invite you to channel your inner rocker as we have our own headbangers ball on The 80s Cruise!

Incoming Seniors, your moment is almost here. On June 19th, you’ll get the first look at the theme choices for Prom 2026 and cast your vote for the one you want to bring to life!

One Thing’s For Sure – Pop Icon Night is Always a Must
This is the most “icon-ic ” party on The 80s Cruise. We’ve seen everything from Madonna, Max Headroom, and Pac-Man to group costumes such as Star Wars, Cabbage Patch Kids, and countless more toys, cartoon characters, movie stars, and video game pop icons on the BIGGEST costume night! So let your imagination run wild! Whether you compete for a share of the $1,000 prize pool or just take in the awesome sights, this is a night you won’t want to miss!
