Relive the 80’s on a Theme Cruise That Is Totally Tubular

CRUISELINE – AN 80s MUSIC FAN?? THIS IS THE CRUISE FOR YOU! I’m strolling through the Royal Promenade of Explorer of the Seas on day one of The 80s Cruise and find myself transported back in time. Signage above the shops I pass reflects logos of once-popular retailers like Blockbuster Video, Sears, and Radio Shack, and that cozy little pub is called Cheers. The shipmates I pass in the promenade are sporting big hair, and many are elaborately decked out in black & white check print tops and bottoms, rock band t-shirts of yesteryear, oversized day-glow sunglasses, and quirky buttons with slogans like “Totally!” and “I Love the 80s.” Everyone has tattoos. I pass more than a few guys sporting Reagan-Bush ’84 t-shirts, and it seems all the women have The 80s Cruise logo vividly painted on their fingernails.
